A Sunday Afternoon in Insadong with Cam

Me casually posing in front of a large group of Korean police
A traditional paint brush made of horse hair
A random shop in Insadong
A reenactment in the streets of Insadong
Making Korean rice cakes

Korean pottery

Korean candy
Packed as usual on a Sunday afternoon
I went to Insadong today with Cam and bought lots of beautiful things that I didn't plan on buying....oh, how I love spontaneous purchasing. It was a fantastic spring afternoon, which meant lots and lots of people. Even with all of the people, Insadong is still one of my favorite places in Seoul.
After battling the crowds Cam and I met Rachel Lynn and her parents. After Rachel Lynn made a quick purchase, we headed to Bennigan's to have some "okay" food and of course a beer. The perfect end to a spring afternoon in Seoul. I can't wait till Tanya and Min get here so I can do it all over again!

Out with Rachel Lynn's Parents

Last night I met Rachel Lynn's parents. I have met quite a few people in Korea and it's hard to truely know them until you see where they are from or what they are all about outside of Korea. I now REALLY know Rachel. Here are a few pictures.

For my friends

Okay, so fittingly when I opened YAHOO today the articles featured were all about drinking and how to cure hangovers. Sooo...here are some tips.

Who would ever do this one???

Choose something you don't really like. Many of us like to have a drink in our hand as a crutch at a party. We can always take a sip when there's a lull in the conversation. Choose a drink that is not to your liking. You'll be reminded of the fact every time you take a sip, and you'll be unlikely to finish the whole thing.

(whoever wrote this has never met Rachel Lynn...unfinished booze, can you believe they uttered those words Rachel???)

Who said throwing up was bad?

"Those pounding headaches and everything else are related to the shriveling of the cells because they lose so much water," Navder said. "Before sleeping, force yourself to drink water. If you throw up, very good, because you're going to get some of the alcohol out that way."

And finally, one "YAHOO Health" doctor's advice...

I should close, as does every article on the subject, by stating that there is only one way to be sure you won't need to try one of these cures: Don't drink too much on St. Patrick's Day or on any other day.

Did you do as you were told?

Happy St. Paddy's Day!!!

Happy St. Paddy's Day!!!

The hottest boys there!

Frenchie, Blue and Buttercup!!!

This guy got the holidays mixed up but we had fun with him anyway!

So cute.....!!!!

Serious rocker chicks!

Jes, Rachel Lynn and I rocking it out at the Westin, Chosun on Saturday! We had such an awesome time and we have made a pack to make our wigs follow the same path as "The Travelling Pants", after we leave Korea.

Long time no Hongdae

Last night was the first time to go to Hongdae since November. We had an awesome time, but missed Jes. We went to the "bed bar" which is a fun place to go, but can get a little mellow after awhile. So, after that, we livened things up by going to the ever popular, "Tin Pan Alley". After having a few drinks, saying hello to some co-workers and fellow soccer players, we headed to the Norae bang, aka Karoke. As always we sang, "Sweet Child O' Mine". I can't wait till Tanya gets here and I drag her there to sing a few tunes. (PS Thanks for the pictures RL!)

I'm going out with these crazy pirates tomorrow night! What's going to happen? Choose your own adventure!

Somebody had a birthday this week.

Aruba, Jamaica, oh I wanna take ya

My sister recently got married in Jamaica. The wedding was beautiful and I had such a great time. Imagine it. All you can eat, all you can drink and sun, sand and sea. I only wish I was there now. Here are a few pictures.
